The purpose of the National Coalition of Girls’ Schools (NCGS) is to advance the efforts of girls’ schools. NCGS believes Girls’ Schools play a vital role in helping young women develop their authentic voices and use them, loudly and proudly.

For 20 years, the NCGS has been collaborating with member schools all over the world, sharing research, information, and support. In our efforts to foster a vigorous and freewheeling conversation about girls’ schools, we:

• connect our member schools with each other and with resources to advance their enrollment and fundraising efforts
• offer school faculty and staff discussion forums
• advise parents and girls on the benefits of girls’ schools
• rally alumnae to support our cause

In the United States, the NCGS has 158 member organizations and approximately 35 international members. It holds an Annual Conference where the representatives of the schools gather to hear speakers versed in issues, research and forums for faculty, staff, parents as well as connecting the member schools.

MISSION: The National Coalition of Girls’ Schools (NCGS) is a leading advocate for girls’ education with a distinct commitment to the transformative power of all-girls schools. The Coalition acts at the forefront of educational thought, collaborating and connecting globally with individuals, schools, and organizations dedicated to empowering girls to be influential contributors to the world.

VISION: The National Coalition of Girls’ Schools envisions a world where every girl will have access to the education and resources she needs to develop into a competent and confident woman, one who is equipped to assume whatever role she seeks for herself, wherever in the world.
